Connecting the Island’s Memories: Stay Like a Local
At Kuwa to Hon (鍬と本), we embrace the theme of “connecting the island’s memories and staying like a local.” We have transformed a two-story house with a spacious courtyard into a private rental accommodation. Ogijima is a truly charming island. We hope you enjoy a retreat at Kua to Hon, where you can experience the simple beauty of daily island life.
The house consists of a living room, bedroom, and a second-floor bedroom, accommodating up to 10 guests. The west-facing balcony offers a stunning sea view, where you can relax and watch the sun set over the Seto Inland Sea.

Access
Ogijima is a small island in the heart of the Seto Inland Sea, home to about 150 residents. In 2014, the island’s elementary and junior high school reopened, and now more than 30% of the population consists of newcomers. With little flat land, houses are built in a stair-like fashion along the slopes, creating a maze-like landscape of stone steps, winding alleys, and cobblestone paths. Surrounded by the blue sea and rich nature, Ogijima offers a serene and immersive experience.
To reach Ogijima, take a ferry from Takamatsu Port (approx. 40 minutes). Kua to Hon is just a 2-minute walk from Ogi Port.
